Amanda Saint Claire’s rhythmic, highly textural work hints at many subconscious layers of meaning. She works in a variety of media including oils, acrylic, encaustic, and mixed media.

Amanda Saint Claire is a Navy veteran, mother to 3 teenagers, and has been married to her partner, a Navy scientist, for 21 years. She has lived on three U.S. coasts (East, West, and Gulf) and on three continents, and now lives in Del Mar, California with a studio in Sorrento Valley. Her sense of adventure continues to inspire her travels and her work.

She holds a BA in German Literature and European History from Dickinson College and a Law Degree from Tulane University School of Law. She is currently enrolled in Pacifica Graduate Institute’s MA program in Engaged Humanities and Creative Life, and has exhibited extensively in San Diego and in Santa Fe, NM.
